Why Counselling?

Counselling can help if you are lonely, angry, anxious or depressed, having problems with relationships, feeling isolated and helpless, going through a personal crisis or just in need of understanding and support.

We offer a confidential and safe space where you will have time to talk openly about difficulties and problems without judgement.

We may support you simply by being alongside you while you look for clarity and understanding, or perhaps offer exercises that may give you insight, or a different perspective.  Perhaps CBT would be appropriate.  You lead the way - your journey is unique.

As well as individuals we work with couples, Couples Counselling works by giving you the chance to be heard, to look at the problems in a different way with someone who’ll respect and encourage your opinions and decisions.  Ideally, you should go to counselling together, often, if one person makes the decision to give counselling a try, the partner will decide to go too.  If your partner flatly refuses to join you, there are lots of things counselling can help you sort out on your own. There may be changes you can make alone that will have a positive impact on your relationship, or you may prefer to sort out your own feelings before you involve your partner

We are fully insured members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and seek to work at all times within their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

We also run courses and workshops, please contact us if you are interested.

The charge for an individual counselling session is £40
Couple counselling is £55 for an hour and a half
